Hey fans!
Congrats to Ichiro Suzuki on winning his 9th consecutive Gold Glove! The Mariners have now won at least one Gold Glove in 23 straight years.
A notable player that did not receive a Gold Glove was Mariner’s center fielder Franklin Gutierrez. Gutierrez could be one of the best outfielders in the game, but not as well known.

Pitcher Felix Hernandez and Manager Don Wakamatsu are also hoping for awards. King Felix is one of the favorites for the AL Cy Young, and Wak is up for the Manager of the Year.
The Cy Young winner will be announced on November 17th, and the Manager of the Year on November 18th.

So happy for him and I wonder if Hideki Matsui will join him as a Mariner?

I’m shocked that Ichiro and Hunter both got 9… Not that I have an issue with their playing, I just lost track of where they stood.
Every time I see him (Ichiro) play it is a true pleasure to watch. There was a time when Junior was the same way but, oh, so many years ago.
